I am studying how trait variation in herbivores influences plant-animal interactions and ecosystem processes in salt marshes. My research focuses on the periwinkle snail (Littoraria irrorata), a key grazer in southeastern U.S. marshes. I investigate how snail dietary preference vary across multiple populations and environments, and how these differences affect plant consumption, fungal associations, and overall marsh health. I aim to understand how intraspecific variation shapes ecological dynamics and contributes to marsh resilience under changing environmental conditions. Outside of the lab I enjoy watching and engaging with different sporting activities.
